SYNOPSIS

In the vast and unforgiving expanse of space, an unexpected love story unfolds between an astronaut and a space tourist, both carrying secrets that could change their lives forever.

Gong Ryong (Lee Min-Ho), an OB-GYN (obstetrician-gynecologist), leads a life that seems almost perfect from the outside. He’s well-established in his career and is set to marry into one the largest and the most powerful chaebol families in South Korea, the MZ Chaebol Group. However, behind his privilege and success, Gong Ryong has a mission so secret that he cannot tell anyone—even those closest to him. Driven by a purpose that goes far beyond his career or family connections, he embarks on an extraordinary and dangerous path, one that requires immense sacrifice.

To realize his secret goal, Gong Ryong makes an unthinkable decision—he uses most of his wealth to become a space tourist. For the sake of his hidden mission, he arranges a once-in-a-lifetime journey to the space station, where he will have the opportunity to blend into the elite world of space science. However, what awaits him in the vast, uncharted expanse of space is far more complicated than he imagined.

At the space station, he meets Eve Kim (Gong Hyo-Jin), an elite and highly talented space scientist who is on her first mission as the station’s commander. Eve is a woman of precision, discipline, and expertise. As a perfectionist, she follows the rules and expects nothing less from those around her. In a place where full of danger around every corner, Eve’s strict adherence to protocol ensures the safety of her crew. However, her intensity and unwavering focus on the mission sometimes make her seem cold and distant to others, even though it is clear that her leadership skills are second to none.

Eve’s crew is an eclectic group, each one highly skilled in their respective fields. Among them is Kang Gang-Su (Oh Jung-Se), a brilliant fruit fly research scientist. Kang-Su comes from an influential family that controls global finance, but his true passion lies in scientific discovery. As the second son of a powerful family, he carries the burden of expectation, but he is devoted to his research and his work on the space station, which allows him to escape the pressures of his family legacy.

As the days pass at the space station, Gong Ryong finds himself drawn into the intricacies of life aboard the space station. His mission remains a secret to Eve, Kang-Su, and the rest of the crew, but their paths will cross unavoidably. Tensions rise as each member of the crew must navigate the complexities of space, the high-stakes nature of their work, and the unspoken challenges each individual faces. Gong Ryong's hidden agenda threatens to unravel, and the high-risk environment of the space station only adds to the sense of uncertainty. Meanwhile, Eve struggles with her role as a leader, determined to maintain control in a high-risk environment, even with her own doubts about her capabilities as a commander. Gong Ryong and Eve meet in unexpected ways, each drawn to the other by an unspoken understanding of what it means to carry burdens far heavier than what they initially seem to be. In the cold and endless expanse of space, they must confront not only the mission at hand but the truth about themselves and the lives they have left behind on Earth.

As Gong Ryong’s time at the space station unfolds, he becomes increasingly fascinated by Eve Kim, drawn to her intense dedication and sense of duty. Despite the spatial distance and the physical barriers between them, a deep and unexpected connection begins to form. The tension between their worlds—the scientific rigor and dangers of space versus the wealth and privilege of Earth—creates an emotional pull neither can ignore. For Gong Ryong, this brief journey to the stars may lead to a life-changing decision.

Meanwhile, Gong Ryong’s life on Earth is intertwined with that of Choi Go Eun, his stunningly beautiful and highly intelligent girlfriend. As the sole heir to the MZ Group’s fortune, Go Eun is not only a very beautiful woman but also has extraordinary capability, known for her sharp mind and leadership. She is, in many ways, the ideal woman, someone who carries the weight of her family's legacy with grace and determination. Yet beneath her calm exterior, she also harbors her own desires and dreams, ones that she must balance with the pressures of her legacy and expectations.
